This means on the 12.9 you have to move your eyes and reach that much further. The 11 is of course just as powerful as the 12.9, but the screen on the 12.9 has mini led which makes colors pop much more. Still in practice this does not make art on the 11 inch “worse.”.
As a professional illustrator that only uses Procreate, I've had both 11 and 12.9, and both have their pros / cons. I went back and forth in iPad Pro sizes since my first one (the 2016 9.7), and from all the models Ive had, I honestly feel the 11 is more manageable for the actual drawing movements with the hands - it's more comfortable than the 12.9, effort wise. Thus, to me, a 12.9” screen is the better choice. I have a 2018 iPad Pro 12.9, which I’ve had for about 3 years. I love it. And I just bought a M1 iPad Pro 11 on the recent Black Friday sale. I love my 12.9. I love the size, and mostly use it for my personal “PC”, and for my personal video device.
Ghost touches are worse than they’ve ever been on an apple product, the speakers start to blow out after just a couple months even taking care not to turn them up too loud or play content with a lot of low end frequencies. Overall, I’d rather shoot myself than buy another iPad Pro. 1. r/ipad.
Torn between deciding whether to upgrade the IPad Pro 11 2018 to a MacBook or iPP 12.9 M1. I do own a Mac Mini, but find myself using the IPad Pro 11 for majority of my workflow i.e. light photo editing, studies etc. The only drawback is the real estate of the screen, slightly too small when having to refer to 2 documents side by side for studies.
Agree with what others have said, also the iPad has leagues better battery life. I have a iPad pro 12.9 3rd gen and the s7+ and both are good for different scenarios. For media the s7+ is better cause as said the aspect ratio. But if you already have and like the iPad don't worry about it. It is the nicer hardware for sure.
