I was going through the remote management settings on my Zyxel NBG-460N router, making sure they were not available through the WAN port, when I stupidly without thinking disabled the WWW remote management. I can still login through telnet utility, but cannot find any documentation for that for the NBG-460N. subnet as the ZyXel, but outside its DHCP scope; for example 192.168.1.200 - reboot if necessary. Now disable the DHCP service in the Airport. ----- Re-connect the Mac to the ZyXel by Ethernet cable and confirm you can communicate with it. Connect an Ethernet cable from a LAN port on the ZyXel router to a LAN port on the Airport. Make sure your Zyxel Device hardware is connected correctly and your computer is connected to the Zyxel Device through wired or WiFi connection; If the Zyxel Device and your computer are not connected to a DHCP server, make sure your computer's IP addresses range between "192.168.1.3" and "192.168.1.254" (set statically if needed)
Just found an interesting article via Google. The iPhone wants the key in HEX format, not ASCII. The 660HW does support WPA, its just not obvious. User guide is available on the Zyxel site (
Parviz Posts: 1 July 2021 in Smart Home Product I've tried to log in to the router by 192.168.1.254 as it says in CMD ipcofig. I get the log in window but whatever combination of login/password I use I can't log in. admin/1234 doesn't work. I’ve tried to reset the device still no luck. This is important as I can't change the wi-fi password
John Willis – November 4, 2016. This is essentially a reduced functionality version of the ZyXEL VSG-1432 running a Busybox Linux 2.3 kernel. It has a NAND MTD filesystem with the CFE bootloader and a Broadcom chipset. Both the C1100Z / VSG-1432 are xDSL modems, PPPoE clients and WAN router gateways with a 2.4 GHz WiFi radio.
The most commonly used IP address for xDSL modem/routers is 192.168.1.x, this is also the IP address used by the Zyxel routers LAN. This will create an IP conflict and internet traffic may not work. In this case it is a good idea to change the LAN IP of the ZyWALL router to eliminate the conflict, if the modem cannot be set to a BRIDGE state. wbQg.
